Today's topic is Primula vulgaris – A Mini Plant Profile. 

Primula vulgaris or more commonly known as the English Primrose. 

• Considered an evergreen, but marketed as annuals too 
• Grow as a foliage rosette and the flowers form and open in the center of the foliage 
• Grow about 8-inches tall, 1 foot wide 
• Flowers single on a stem, but can have 2-3 flowers per stem on some strains  
• Flowers come in white, yellow, red, blue, brown, bronze, or win colored  
• Like full sun in cooler climates and partial shade or dappled sun in warmer climates  
• well-drained soil, and mulch 
• Need regular watering 
• Native to the cool regions of Northwest Europe, Algeria, Armenia, and Turkey 
• Can be divided
