If you have any deciduous trees or shrubs in your yard, one of the many tasks this fall you will need to do is pick up their fallen leaves.  Or will you?

Dropped leaves can look messy and make a garden seem un-kept, but keeping them in your garden beds to add nutrients, provide insulation, and keep weeds suppressed are benefits still unknown by many home-owners.  Here are three ways to simplify your fall leaf cleanup and keep those leaves and nutrients in your yard:

  1. Let leaves lie where they fall.
  2. Blow your excess leaves, if not too thick or bulky, into your grass areas.
  3. And if you must pick up your leaves in a large area, make small piles to pick up.

And there are three simplified ways to clean up leaves this fall!
